With a background in horses and an interest in fashion also, the research for my final major project developed into researching horse in fashion. I extensively looked into all images that brought both of these things together including editorial and advertisements, looking at brands that use them regularly. I also used all the British Vogue periodicals available to me, starting my research with specific decades and then moving on to fill the gaps to get an overall picture that allowed me to see the extent of horses appearing in fashion over a period of time and seeing how the way that the horse has been used has changed over the period of time covered.
